I am a native of Coral Gables (Miami), Florida, and in 1981 attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I earned my BA in English and minored Journalism and Psychology. GO HEELS! After pursuing a journalism career and starting numerous businesses over 30 years, I became a State Farm agent in 2005. In 2009 I earned my State Farm Executive MBA through East Carolina College of Business and The Center For Creative Leadership. As a State Farm agent I have been a multi-year Ambassador Travel Qualifier, Crystal Excellence Qualifier, Legion of Honor Qualifier and Business Leaders Qualifier. I am also licensed in North Carolina in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. I have helped many of my customers protect their assets and have helped them prepare for the future and for retirement. I am a competitive cyclist, enjoy playing golf, traveling, road course driving, personal fitness and have been actively involved in youth sports and youth mentorship. I have been happily married to my beautiful wife Kathy for over 38 years, and am the father of two awesome sons, Evan and Matt, and am proud to be called "Pop Pop" by my beautiful granddaughter Julia.
